Remediation Technologies

We have experience using biological, chemical and thermal treatment technologies in the successful completion of numerous contaminated site remediation projects.

Our proven track record in engineered landfill design, construction, operation, closure and post-closure care has been applied to numerous projects to secure and encapsulate hazardous contaminants

Bioremediation
Landfarming and biopiles are used to break down organic contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), volatile organics and explosives.

Chemical Immobilisation
Use of solidification and stabilisation with cement, pozzolans and lime to treat hazardous wastes and soils contaminated with heavy metals, inorganic chemicals, hydrocarbons and PAHs.

Thermal Desorption
Heat is used to modify organic contaminants in soil, including petroleum hydrocarbons, PAHs, PCBs, creosote and coal tars, pesticides and chlorinated organics, so that they can be removed. We have experience in indirect and direct thermal desorption systems.

In-situ Reactive Walls
Impermeable barriers, such as soil-bentonite walls, are installed downstream from polluted groundwater plumes to prevent migration of contaminants.

 Containment and Encapsulation
Contaminated soil, hazardous wastes and radiological contaminants are contained and encapsulated in fully engineered and monitored cells.
